Artwork flying high at UCLH and Whittington Health NHS Trust.
Two London hospitals have been gifted custom artwork as a thank you for their efforts during Covid-19.
London based IT company, Techrelate have shown their appreciation to the staff and volunteers at The Whittington Health NHS Trust and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) by donating a custom NHS print by artist Rachel List. Rachel, 29 from Pontefract is a professional indoor muralist and has been turning her hand to outdoor art since lockdown began.
The artwork, titled “We love you NHS”, is an image of a paintbrush-wielding face-masked nurse painting the NHS logo, which has the ‘superman’ symbol in place of the ‘S’. When the mural first appeared, it caused quite a stir, with many people mistaking the artwork to be the work of Banksy.
Julian Fox, CEO at Techrelate said “the NHS has always worked hard but since Covid-19 came to the fore they have been under immense pressure. We wanted to thank the staff and volunteers for their terrific efforts over the past few months – providing safety, security and peace of mind for Londoners. To us, the sentiment behind Rachel’s work exactly matches how we feel towards our front line workers and as a local family run business, we have much to thank both these London hospitals for.
