It’s time to celebrate!
Listen to the celebration klaxon … can you hear it?
For a small business of under 50 employees getting ISO accreditation is a big deal. Not only do we have it but we’ve just been audited for the second time (every three years) and we passed with flying colours.
We have recently been audited for the Quality Management System Certification ISO 9001. This is a big deal and upon audit we needed to clearly demonstrate that we…
a) consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and
b) aim to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
We passed! Woohoo.
We also got audited for the Information Security Management System Certification, ISO 27001. This certification specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of our business. What a mouthful!
We do this for ourselves and most importantly for our client’s security. We know this type of accreditation helps us:
- keep confidential information secure
- provide customers and stakeholders with confidence in how we manage risk
- allow for secure exchange of information
- to comply with other regulations i.e. GDPR
- with a competitive advantage
- enhance customer satisfaction that improves client retention
- ensure consistency in the delivery of our service
- manage and minimises our risk exposure
- build a culture of security
- protect the company, assets, shareholders and directors.
We believe that if we are secure, we know how to keep our clients secure. This recertification shows we know what’s what when it comes to security.
How we did it …
To prepare for our re-certification for the ISMS and QMS we had a to submit a lot paperwork, but us being us, we were prepared. We pulled together various management processes, quality management information, processes on information security, technology, staff and operational procedures to name a few. The audit took 8-hours on the day and it was worth every second.
We are proud to be reaccredited and look forward to continuing to grow the business and helping more clients with their tech as time ticks on.
Now, time for cake!
